AMERICAN REVOLUTION

The American Revolution is one of the most important events in American History and the history of democracy.  It is also referred to as the Revolutionary War or War of Independence and occurred from 1765 until 1783.  In general, the revolution unfolded as a series of important battles that saw the American 13 Colonies gain their independence from British rule.  Historians consider it, along with the French Revolution, as the birth of modern democracy.  Click below to learn more about specific topics related to the American Revolution.
